The Hume Tennis and Community Centre, which opened in 2015, is a tennis players paradise. The centre is often viewed as a small Melbourne Park where players have access to: coaching, court hire, memberships, competitions and tournaments. The facility contains: 16 courts, pro shop, cafe, community rooms, health suites and kids play area.
In the clubs short history it is already one of Tennis Victoria's Top 50 clubs and in 2017 won the prestigious Tennis Australia, Newcombe Medal for hosting 'Tournament of the Year'.
Hume was the 1st club to be established as a Wheelchair Tennis Hub by Tennis Australia and each year hosts an International Tennis Federation Tournament that has the top men and women in the world compete.
The Hume Tennis Centre is a world class tennis facility and part of Tennis Australia's national tennis network. Facilities include:
- 14 Outdoor Plexicushion Courts (used at the Australian Open).
- 2 Outdoor European Clay Courts.
- Tennis Australia 'Hot Shots' customised courts for various junior levels.
