Highfield Equestrian Centre is a boutique horse agistment and training centre with professional care 24/7. The centre offers lessons from highly regarded instructors on our well trained horses and kids parties.
Lessons: Highfield Equestrian Centre is essentially a competition training barn and we do a lot of teaching here as well. We offer lessons on our horses which are well trained in dressage and/or jumping. We have horses that are suitable for levels from beginners up for all ages. Our lessons are individual private lessons which run for approximately 1 hour. The cost is $85/lesson, we do offer a shared lesson option for friends who want to ride together or members of the same family.
Our teaching philosophy is based on training horse and rider to be in harmony. Obviously, safety is an important criteria and so we pay a lot of attention to balance and good position, as well as good communication with the horse.
Agistment: We offer full care agistment which includes feeding out mornings and/or evenings. The price is $75+gst/week for the small privates, $85+gst/shared and $95+gst/week for the larger private. Highfield is supervised and managed 24/7 by professional horse personnel. Lessons are available with NCAS qualified instructors, and we run training clinics with international instructors at times. Full use of facilities is included in the price. 60x60 outdoor, 15m round indoor, wash, and other usual facilities.
Training: Training cost is $375+gst/week and includes agistment but not feeding. For horses that are based here, training costs are $75 for a ride and $30 for a lunge.
