Halls Gap - Splitters Falls (Grampians National Park)

Halls Gap - Splitters Falls (Grampians National Park)

The serene Splitters Falls are just a short walk from Halls Gap in the Grampians. From the centre of town (near Halls Gap Botanic Gardens, School Road, Halls Gap), follow the path along Stony Creek to Venus Baths, a series of rock pools popular for toe-dipping on warm days. From here, take the stairs to the tranquil setting of Splitters Falls. This route is 2.3km one way.

Alternatively, the easiest route and shortest walk is from Wonderland car park located at the end of Wonderland Road, off Mt Victory Road, Halls Gap. This is a 700m one way easy/moderate walk. The walking track traverses over rocky terrain, through a gorge and up some steep stairs before continuing beside the creek. A sign indicates the turn off along the track for Splitters Falls. After viewing Splitters Falls you can return to this intersection and either continue on to Halls Gap (past Venus Baths) or return to the Wonderland Carpark.

Splitters Falls is a seasonal waterfall and is best viewed in spring when wildflowers dot the landscape. Splitters Falls may be dry during the summer period.

The nearest campgrounds are Stoney Creek Group Campground (8.5 km from the Wonderland Carpark) and Borough Huts Campground (14.1 km from the Wonderland Carpark).
