Essendon Baseball Club (Strathmore Heights)

The club formed in 1893, and is now based in the valley of Strathmore Heights. Essendon Baseball Club is one of the oldest continuously running baseball Clubs in Australia.

The club is located at Boeing Reserve in Strathmore Heights where there is a main field and a secondary field.

Juniors

Training is every Tuesday afternoon from approx 4.30 pm onwards at Boeing Reserve, Strathmore Heights.

Game Time
Little League Minor play home and away series on Friday Nights at 6.15 pm.
Little League Major, Junior League, Under 16's, and Under 18's play home and away series on Sunday Mornings at 9.00 am.

Seniors

The Essendon Baseball Club has successfully fielded Senior sides since 1893 and currently has 6 senior teams (4 Division 1 & 2 Division 4 teams) in the VSBL.

Training is held every Tuesday and Thursday night from approx 5.30 pm onwards at Boeing Reserve, Strathmore Heights.

Game Time
Home and away format and games are played on a Sunday.

T-Ball

Available to boys and Girls. Essendon Baseball Club T-Ball follows the T-Ball Smash format with small team games in addition to skills-based training. Tee Ball Players are provided with opportunities to learn baseball skills with fun and progressive training in a friendly and non-competitive game environment.

All new T-Ball players will receive a T-Ball pack made up of a glove, a ball and an Essendon Baseball Club hat.

Women's Baseball

The Essendon Baseball Club has supported women's sport via Women's Baseball teams since 2012/2013. The Club currently has 2 summer teams in the VSBL.

The current program emphasizes enjoyment of women's baseball, while supporting development from beginner to an elite level in this team game. For Essendon female juniors, the program provides an integrated pathway for female athletes, to play the team game they love, transitioning from Junior Baseball to Women's baseball. A women's sport available to those aged 14 and up.
