Echuca Thong Tree
Rumour has it that the Echuca Thong Tree was started by people coming off the houseboats and leaving them there...
The exact origin of the tree is not know for sure but some of the suggestions include:
- Back in the mid 80s, the thong tree had sandals. Young gentleman and women use to meet and have picnics here.
- Paddle steamers picked up random thongs floating and nailed them to the tree for their owner to find.
