Corryong - Playles Lookout Walk

This is the only scenic lookout in town and the views are great. Playles Lookout provides almost 360 degrees of sweeping views across the Corryong valley to surrounding mountains. If you are either day visiting or staying in local accommodation it is conveniently accessed by walking up Donaldson Street from the top of the main street - Hanson Street. The walk is 2.1km return.

The park itself has some pleasant tree plantings that attract a variety of birds. Seating is available at many locations with excellent vistas of their own.

Tracks are constructed of either dirt or gravel and clearly defined. The gradient is notable when walking up the street and at the bottom of the park where the sealed pathway ends. There are contour following tracks in the park to lessen the slope. If you don't want to walk the steeper part, drive direct to the park car park near the top.

Amenities are in good supply. Playles Park has a BBQ, several dispersed picnic tables, potable water and toilets that are easy to locate.

Hanson Street offers shops, fuel, a playground, cultural and historic features and accommodation.

Access for Dogs:

Dogs must be on a leash.
