Bunjils Nest Playground, Sovereign Drive, Mount Duneed

Bunjils Nest Playground, Sovereign Drive, Mount Duneed

A huge district level playground which is very spread out which means that it can be difficult to keep track of multiple children of different ages.

The toddler area has a sandy base with rocky cave with rabbit sculpture, digger, big sand play equipment, stepping stump circuit, two swings and a fun seat for four people which rotates around (quite difficult for toddlers to ride).

25m away is the main play area where there are two huge elevated cubbies/nests separated by a tricky bridge. There is one tunnel slide off each nest. There are a variety of ways to get to the nests with most involving rope nets. This area also has a big birds nest swing, rocky mound with cave, revolving donut, rotating swing with thick rope swing, two in-ground trampolines, wooden framed rope climbing frame, stand-on spinner, dual flying fox with disk seats, two table tennis tables, small skate park (slopes around the sides and volcano in the middle), basketball court with four square and hopscotch markings on the court and a grassy area with one metal soccer goal. There are also some grassy areas, shelter with tables, BBQs, water tap and toilets.

There is the 9grams cafe next to the playground for a mandatory caffeine fix.
