Located on the banks of the Moorabool River and overlooking the reservoir, the Moorabool Reservoir Park provides a beautiful recreation area with BBQs and picnic facilities.

  • No digging for bait
  • No use of berley (fish bait)

Access for Dogs:

Pets are not permitted.

Review:

The reservoir has a nice set of attractions for a picnic. The main entry point on Spargo Creek Road has a car park, grassy areas, picnic tables, shelter with three tables, water tap (not suitable for drinking), toilets and shelter with BBQs.

There are no rubbish bins and a take home rubbish policy applies.

The area next to the reservoir is well worth an explore and there are ornamental gardens with some massive shady trees, reservoir lookout with views over the spillway and Lodge and Garden (no access permitted). At the lookout and the picnic area there is an information panel about the building of the reservoir. The town of Bolwarrah is beneath the waters of the reservoir.

Fishing is permitted at designated places around the reservoir.
