Black Rock Life Saving Club

At Black Rock Life Saving Club we provide a fun, family based environment in which to learn the principles of water safety, health, fitness, resuscitation and the aquatic environment.

Juniors

Nippers
Black Rock Life Saving Club offer a beach education program for children aged 5 to 13 years to learn lifesaving skills. We have the perfect play ground to develop members through personal safety, aquatic awareness, fitness and first aid to potentially becoming a community Lifesaver!

Nippers is not a learn to swim program, we encourage all nippers to participate in a swimming program. On joining, nippers will be required to pass a swimming assessment, until this assessment is passed parents are required to supervise their children one on one.

Black Rock Nippers enjoy plenty of social events over the season from discos, beach games, water park obstacle courses, bake sales and more.

Junior Competition Programs
Black Rock team has a proven track record of success in teaching and training life savers. Programs include Junior Surf, Junior Pool and Rescue & Resuscitation.

Seniors

Education, Fitness, Leadership, Social, Volunteering within an iconic organisation as a Black Rock Lifesaver.

At Black Rock Life Saving Club our members are not only taught the skills required to achieve their Bronze Medallion Lifesaver Award, they also have many opportunities to access further pathways in lifesaving, leadership and sports, including some nationally accredited units of competencies.

Seniors start their patrol and summer surf sports training in early October leading to a bronze award course for new members being held late November and a skills assessment for existing members in early December. Once awards are in place members continue training and patrolling until early April.

Black Rock Seniors enjoy plenty of social events over the season from themed events, comedy nights, beach games, water games, obstacle courses and more.
