This family-owned gallery sits among the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley, Victoria's premier wine and art destination. Built of mud-brick and solid timber in 1989 by well known sculptor, Ernst Fries, the gallery has been providing quality art to discerning art lovers for 30 years.

Ernst Fries' clean, modern, stainless steel sculptures (suitable for outdoors) are displayed about the property and available for sale.

Exhibitions at Art at Linden Gate change every 6 weeks and feature works by artists from many backgrounds and disciplines and at different stages of their careers, many of whom are local.

Bernard Skahill's bespoke jewellery pieces are highly sought after and the new organic Moebius collection is already a hit with the locals. We stock a selection of hand blown glass by local Tim Basset, pottery by local artists including Alistair Whyte, Ted Secombe, Glenn England, Rhonda Nadasdy and quirky Gillie & Marc resin sculptures along with many other quality crafted items.

NOTE: Art at Linden Gate gallery is now permanently closed. Thirty years ago, world-renowned German-born sculptor Ernst Fries and his Swiss wife Rosmarie established Art at Linden Gate in the Yarra Valley as an exhibition space for Ernst's smaller indoor sculptures and his larger outdoor works, while also presenting works by artists of all backgrounds, all genres, and all levels of experience. Their vision was of an inclusive and creative community. The death of Ernst Fries in March 2020 has precipitated the recent sale of Art at Linden Gate.
